Privacy policy
What we hold, who it reaches, and how long we keep it — in plain words.
What we ask you for
When you sign up we collect your name and your email address, and any note you leave for the business preparing your reveal. That is all we ask you for.
The answer, and who is told it
At your appointment you hand your phone to your doctor, who records the single answer on the spot — we never email them and never hold an address for them. You are told that a result arrived — never what it is. The answer goes only to the local businesses you chose to prepare your reveal. We never share it or sell it to anyone else, and no advertiser or third party is ever told what it is.
We keep that answer — we do not delete it the moment it is delivered — because a business may still be preparing your reveal, and because a second shop you add later is told the answer that already arrived.
Keeping in touch
We keep your name and email address so we can tell you when your doctor answers and, occasionally, so we can email you ideas from local businesses. Every one of those emails carries an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing stops them for good.
How long we keep it
Six months after your doctor records the answer we purge that reveal: we permanently remove the answer and the note you left for the business. If your doctor never records an answer there is nothing sensitive to purge, so we leave that reveal alone. Either way your name and email address remain, kept for the contact above until you ask us to remove them or you unsubscribe.
We take encrypted backups of our database so we can recover from a failure. A backup taken before a purge still contains everything that reveal held. Residual copies of purged information can therefore persist in those encrypted backups for up to a further three months, until the last backup that contains them is rotated out and destroyed.
Getting in touch
To ask what we hold about you, to unsubscribe, or to ask us to remove your details, email hi@genderrevealhub.com or reply to any email we have sent you, and a real person will handle it.
